Having forged – roughhewn and refined – a ‘school of life’\, her presence filtered into everything\, everywhere. From a rare capacity for universality through the courageous dissemination of her art and its technique\, choreography and imaginative potential\, she has called many to her\, who have answered lifelong. Some\, if not all\, of the following strivings provided within her canon give initiatory force to: \n•  a sense of identity  • a physical prowess  • an embodiment of womanliness  • a romantic enhancement • a challenge to the self   • a whimsical caprice   • a realm of inspiration   • a path to freedom • an expressive outlet   • a mission of peace • a conduit to service •  an opening of the heart   • an immersion in beauty   • a deepening humanness   •  an amelioration of suffering   • a call to action • a breakthrough   • a healing balm   •  a conduit to empowerment   • a flight of transcendence  • an access to transformation   • a system of belief • a commingling of souls   •  an historical gaze   • a site of sanctuary     \n… and are made possible through Isadora’s art.\nWe shall experience them as tributaries of a stream of life flowing\, branching and spreading from the well-formed arcs of Duncan’s consummate movement.
